Monday, January 2, 2017. Welcome Back and Happy New Year Wishes! As we return to school this week we will begin immersing ourselves in fables, a genre of literature in the second grade curriculum. This week as students read different fables, they will be encouraged to think about what these stories have in common. Your child is welcome to bring a fable or collection of fables to use at school if you have one at home that can be shared and returned next month.

Saturday, January 7, 2017. Just before our holiday break we had a visit from Drumlin Farm. Drumlin Farm comes out to visit our K - students three times a year, as a part of our science learning. This visit was to learn about two animals that are native to our area and how they survive the winter. The next time we have a visit we will be watching MICE!
